Famous Israeli Dance Troupe Plays Macky

It is a rare opportunity for our community to see this renowned dance troupe that rarely performs in the U.S., let alone Boulder!  We are fortunate to have Bat Sheva Dance come to Macky Auditorium for one of only 4 U.S. performances on this tour. The performance will be Wednesday, March 20, at 7:30 pm.

Israel’s foremost contemporary dance company, revered worldwide for its cutting-edge work, visits Boulder for the first time. Artistic Director Ohad Naharin’s transfixing piece “Venezuela” brings together rap, Gregorian chant, Argentine tango and the choreographer’s signature Gaga language research.

“Ohad Naharin … is a spellbinder, a choreographer who pushes his dancers to the point of exhaustion and into the neighborhood of sublimity.”
