Chanukah Class Today with Morah Yehudis

Morah Yehudis Fishman

Morah Yehudis Fishman will conduct a class today, December 25th, 2019, on some of the lesser-known aspects of Chanukah.

This is a Chanukah class where you may feast on some of the many “Why’s” questions about the holiday. Sample questions include:

  • Why do some sages say that the verdict of the High Holidays is not decided until Chanukah?
  • Why are we forbidden to use the light of the menorah for personal use?
  • Why do we have dreidels, latkes, doughnuts, and gifts on such a spiritual festival?

Don’t stay in the dark; become en-light-ened!

The class is at noon on Wednesday, December 25th at Congregation Bonai Shalom, 1527 Cherryvale Road, Boulder.

About Staff

They call me "NewsHound IV," because I'm a clever Finnegan, sniffing out stories all over the Boulder area. I love Jewish holidays because the food is GREAT, especially the brisket. Well all the food. I was a rescue pup and glad to be on the scent!
