Base jumping. Skydiving. BMX. Spelunking. Free climbing. Community service?
What do they all have in common? Studies show that the adolescent brain’s reaction to risky behavior and pro-social behavior is incredibly similar. Simply put, your teen can avoid some of the more dangerous adolescent behavior by contributing to their community in a meaningful way.
Capitalize on the data by encouraging your teen to join the Boulder Jewish Teen Initiative’s Teen Advisory Board! Our Teen Advisory Board provides an amazing opportunity for teens to gain leadership experience, meet other teens from across the county, and plan innovative programming for their peers. Current members say, “It’s cool to be able to shape something you appreciate; you have a say in what you want to do,” and “I’ve never laughed more than I do at TAB meetings.”
We maintain a balance between a social and an educational atmosphere, encouraging teens to take active roles in their community by leading their high school’s Jewish Culture Clubs and working together to change the Boulder Jewish teen landscape.
