Why?

Why do we hit those bumps in the road?
Everything’s cruising and set to go,

there’s that heartstopping moment
when someone sprays the air with bullets.

People fall, a heavy cost, so many lost…
And we wonder how and why?
Somewhere there is a cosmic twist,
a rhyme or reason to all of This.
God asks us to lie our weapons
upon His holy altar,
but this is where we always falter.
Dear God, our guns are all that matters!
We turn away from the obvious. answer.
We’re in this life, in this deal,
we’re meant to make it through,
to realize the real in God is real.
The karmic cycle spins the wheel
as your soul floats through various ages,
you read the news off ragged pages,
as you rise up against the wages
of war, and so much more.
The One is always one with you
when your always out of time,
when your life is down and out of line,
even when you only have a dime.
We are meant to be in His sight,
to forgive the sinner and his plight,
to pass safely through the unholy night.
Blessings to you, you and you!
And to all those others too!
