Shabbat shalom. Sunday will be busy in Boulder, with a Global Day of Jewish Learning at Bonai Shalom, and a speaker on biblical archeaology at the Boulder JCC. Sunday is also the 100th anniversary of the end of World War I — the armistice that ended hostilities took effect at 11:00 am local time, the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918. Take a moment Sunday to think about the 9.7 million military deaths and the 10 million civilian deaths that occurred between August 1, 1914 and November 11, 1918, including 116,708 US military deaths. Baruch Dayan Ha’emet.
