In Divine Names, episode 53 of A Dash of Drash, Rabbi Andrew Hahn, Ph.D, also known as the KirtanRabbi (affectionately Reb Drew), joins Rabbi Marc in conversation about the centrality of names, especially the names of the Divine, and how they connect to our practice and to our hearts. It is a central theme this week because the Hebrew name for the Book of Exodus is Shemot, which means names. Along with the narratives of Pharaoh’s hard heart, the deadly plagues and people unable to listen, there are some poignant passages about the power of names.
Savage will give the d'var torah, and after kiddush, lead a discussion on: "The Climate Crisis, Parshat Mishpatim, Food, and the Jewish Community: Now What?"
On Wednesday, February 19 at Bonai Shalom, we will continue our “101 Series” with Siddur 101 with Rabbi Marc!
