Everyone is welcome to join the Jewish community Wednesday, April 11, 2018, at Congregation Bonai Shalom in Boulder for Haver, Boulder’s Rabbinic Council’s community-wide observance for Yom HaShoah v’HaGevurah: A Day of Remembrance of the Holocaust and the Heroism.
From 5:15 to 6:30 pm, middle schoolers are welcome for a pizza dinner (sponsored by JEWISHColorado) and a program led by survivor Barbara Steinmetz.
At 7:00 pm everyone is welcome to a commemoration service featuring two guest speakers:
- Barbara Steinmetz discusses “An Act of Remembrance… Told as a Reminder to Act!”
- Frank Kogen, from CU and Out Boulder County talks about “Yellow Stars and Pink Triangles – Badges of Oppression/Symbols of Survival.”
