Meditating

The world warps round me

like a constricting snake.

I find release within the shining light

 behind the words!

I’m closer to Him than even myself!

The world is in a vibrant,

shaky, conflicted state

that awes me. Is this God, or

is this a mirror of ourselves?

Painful is the decision, argh!

To touch God! To touch God!

Holy! Holy is this place!

You wanna take all that away?

You wanna save me from myself?

You wanna say I’m a crazy cat lady?

All that’s inside my breast

turns East, with no release!

Be it man or be it beast,

leave me be! This is my path.
