Jewish National Fund Presents Tu BiShvat in the Rockies

Jewish National Fund (JNF) is proud to host its 9th annual JNFuture Colorado Wine & Trees event in honor of Tu BiShvat, the Jewish festival marking the New Year of Trees. This unique holiday celebrates the renewal of nature and encourages the appreciation and care of our environment. This event, co-chaired by Hilary Cooper and Alex Milzer, is taking place on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at 6:30 pm at the Denver Botanic Gardens – Mitchell Hall (1007 York St., Denver, CO 80206) and includes a gourmet kosher dinner and drinks, as well as an opportunity to learn how JNF’s sustainability projects in Israel are positively impacting the country’s environment and population.

This event will feature Ido Reichman-Eisikovits, JNF’s Green Horizons Liaison. Through this transformative program, Eisikovits and his team lead hiking and camping trips throughout Israel and offer activities designed to promote self-confidence, independence, social responsibility, and an appreciation for Israel’s history and natural beauty to countless youth throughout Israel. “We aim to cultivate leadership in thousands of Israeli youth to create meaningful connections with the land of Israel,” said Eisikovits. “Our programming not only inspires curiosity and a better understanding of their surroundings, but also reaches out to Israel’s minority communities as well to connect them with the broader social fabric of society—this is also a goal of our program and has had much success in the Druze community.”

“We are so excited to celebrate Tu BiShvat with old friends and welcome new faces into our community of Israel supporters,” said Alex Milzer, event co-chair. “Jewish National Fund’s meaningful work is especially highlighted during this holiday as we celebrate the advancements being made in ecological development and afforestation, and we will learn more about the work being done by Green Horizons to connect all Israeli youth, Jewish and non-Jewish, to the land.”

This event also offers an opportunity for local Denver young professions to join JNFuture, a global community of young professionals and supporters of Jewish National Fund, ages 22–40, who share a commitment and passion for Israel. JNFuture gives members a unique voice in building a prosperous future for the land of Israel and its people. All members have access to a vast network of like-minded peers, a variety of events, exclusive speaker series, VIP receptions with senior Israeli officials, and specialized trips to Israel.

To attend this annual Tu BiShvat celebration, please register by January 19 via or call 303.573.7095 x968. Tickets for JNFuture members are $36; non-members pay $54.
