Celebrate Israel Independence Day at the Boulder JCC

Celebrating a 70th birthday is a joyous simcha for anyone, and truly special for Israel! JEWISHcolorado invites the entire Colorado community to celebrate Israel’s special milestone on Wednesday, April 18 at the Boulder JCC.

Everything about the event will feature Israel’s 70 faces: keynote speaker Stacey Warden will discuss how Israel’s technology changed her family’s life; 70 years of Israeli music; Israel in the 1970s when peace was made, major political shifts happened, and Israel was on the map in the fields of basketball and the music industry. There will be activities for all ages, breakout sessions for teens and adults, and a special 70th birthday celebration.

“What a proud moment, the chance to celebrate 70 years of Israel as an independent nation. The fact that we can rejoice in its independent society, economy and military is just remarkable. My father fought for Israel’s freedom in 1948, so it is special for me to organize our community’s birthday party in Israel’s honor,” said Aza Squarer, lead event organizer and founder of BIET, the Boulder Israel Engagement Team.

BIET is a partnership of JEWISHcolorado and the Boulder JCC who work to bring Israel celebrations and engagement to Boulder.
