About Bob Perlow

Bob PerlowWhen comedian Bob Perlow headed to Hollywood pursue his dream, he accepted a position as a tour guide, leading budget travelers all around Las Vegas and California. Then one day he got his break and literally walked off the bus and into a position as a writer on Laverne & Shirley.

Back in the 1970s, live TV audiences were entertained by writers who would say a few funny lines to get them laughing during a taping. When show creator Garry Marshall pulled Bob out of the writers’ room to warm up an audience, something clicked and he knew he found his calling. It wasn’t long before Bob became the go-to warm-up act for many of the most popular shows on television, including Mork & Mindy, Taxi, Cheers, Friends, Newhart, Full House, and The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.

Bob has seen it all—audiences that laugh, those that don’t, and those that really shouldn’t.
