Baruch Dayan Ha’emet: Herbert Erwin Horwitz, z”l

Herbert Erwin Horwitz, beloved father of Rhonda Horwitz-Romano, died peacefully on Shabbat afternoon in Rhonda and Leonard’s home, surrounded by love, with Rhonda by his side. He was 88 years old and touched many people with his sweetness. Rhonda describes her father as “the great man, the holy man, the medicine man and gentleman we all know and love as Chaim Yitzhak Ben Zion Ben Yosef haLevi V’Rifka.”

The funeral will be on Thursday morning on the east coast, where Rhonda will sit the first part of shiva in Cherry Hill, NJ, before returning to Colorado Sunday late evening to conclude the shiva.  Rhonda and Leonard welcome visits on Monday and Tuesday during the day to their mountain home 466 Coyote Circle, Blackhawk, CO 80422. There will be no formal gatherings, but if you want to visit any time, call 303-582 3295 for directions.
There will be a mincha/maariv minyan at Bonai Shalom on Tuesday evening, June 5th at 7.30 pm for the last night of shiva. Please help us make sure we have a minyan to support Rhonda.
Peace on the neshama of Chaim Yitzhak and blessings of strength and comfort to Rhonda, Leonard and the family among the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem.
Blessings,
Rabbi Marc
