Another Chance to See Menashe If You Missed It at the Boulder Jewish Film Festival

Congregation Har HaShem will be hosting a free showing of “Menashe” on Tuesday, April 24 at 7:00 pm. “Menashe” is a Yiddish film with English subtitles that takes place within Brooklyn’s Hasidic community.
Menashe is a well intentioned but somewhat hapless grocery store clerk. He is recently widowed and the rabbi rules that Menashe must first remarry before he can regain custody of his only son. The film shows us Menashe’s struggle with ultra-orthodox tradition as he fights for custody of his son.
Menashe” was released in 2017, the lead is played by Menashe Lustig and is loosely based on his real-life story. We’ll follow the movie with dessert and discussion, so bring a snack to share. All are welcome. Open to the community.
