DENVER, CO — Jewish Family Service of Colorado (JFS) is pleased to welcome Julie Alcorn as Chief Development Officer. As a key member of the JFS executive leadership team, she is responsible for developing the strategy behind the agency’s growing fundraising and communications programs and for overseeing the implementation of those strategies. Alcorn leads and provides vision for the marketing and development staff and is responsible for supporting the fundraising and communications efforts of the organization.
Shepard Nevel, JFS president & CEO, says, “Julie is an accomplished development professional with demonstrated experience in developing, leading, and executing fundraising efforts for capital projects, annual funds, endowment growth, and program development. In this newly created role, Julie will help JFS expand its fundraising capacity and strengthen the integration of fundraising and communications.”
Most recently, Alcorn was director of development and communications and director of community relations for Rocky Mountain Children’s Health Foundation. Prior to that, she served as director of advancement and director of annual fund and scholarship programs at Regis Jesuit High School for nearly a decade.
Alcorn says, “As a third-generation Coloradan, I have deep roots in the area and great love for this region and the people in it. My professional experiences cross from corporate to nonprofit, from customer service to child and family service, and from education to health care.
