Jewish Broadway Returns to Boulder May 7

Jewish Broadway Returns to Boulder May 7

Broadway comes to Boulder once again at Congregation Nevei Kodesh, Boulder’s vibrant Jewish Renewal community, at our annual FUN-draiser, Sunday, May 7.

In his acceptance speech for one of his record-breaking 12 TONY Awards for The Producers, Mel Brooks thanked an “avalanche of Jews” for the gift of American Broadway musicals. The Jewish legacy of musical theater – including such luminaries as Irving Berlin, the Gershwin brothers, Jerome Robbins, Leonard Bernstein, Stephen Sondheim, Rogers and Hart, Stephen Schwartz and many more – lives on today as a uniquely American arts form…AND at Nevei Kodesh!

This year’s all-new program, directed by Amy Feinberg and produced by Wendy Miller and David Spiro, features over two dozen performers including singers Faye Nepon, Eve Ilsen, Michelle Wolf, Sheldon and Kathleen Sands, Amy Beth Fischoff, Jan Kirschner, Rachel Shannon, Ilyssa Abbott, David Spiro, Wendy Miller, Sydney Selvin and others.  It will pay tribute to a very wide variety of Broadway numbers, written or produced by Jewish artists.  You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll kvell! The evening will also include deli-style dinner buffet and an auction.

Formal Attire for Broadway Premiere encouraged, but not required.

Our Online Auction continues through May 7, 7:00 pm.  While some items are only available for auction at the event (including a fabulous retreat in Hawaii), most events online are open to anyone who wishes to participate, whether they attend the event or not.  Click here to participate in auction.
