Chanukah 2017 Roundup of Events – And Videos

Here is a quick compendium of major events for Chanukah in Boulder County:

December 13, 5:30 pm – Second Night- Menorah Lighting on the Pearl Street Mall (in front of the courthouse) Festivities include: music, doughnuts, latkes, hot chocolate, Hanukkah favors, and more! Sponsored by Boulder County Center for Judaism. 

December 13, 5:30 pm – Ignite Chanukah! Hosted by the JCC, Ignite Chanukah is also known as the Vodka Latke Party! Biggest adult Chanukah party in Boulder.  Tickets cost $25 and include admission, open bar, latkes, kugel, snacks, & admission to the after party! *This is a 21+ event. Buy tickets here. 

December 14, 4 – 6 pm – Chanukah on Ice – Honoring Jodi & Larry Ansell! Winterskate, 824 Front Street, Louisville, CO.  Skate with family and friends to Chanukah music! Lighting of the public Menorah in Louisville honoring some of our own Bonai family, Jodi & Larry Ansell! Enjoy delicious sufganiyot (jelly donuts)! For more information, contact Shari at shari@boulderjcc.org. Menorah Lighting Ceremony at 5 pm. $3 Adults, $2 Kids (ages 4-12), Free for Children 3 and under.  Skate Rental: $4

December 17th, 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm – Annual Chanukah Bowl – Hosted by Chabad of Longmont at Centennial Lanes, 110 E. 9th Ave., Longmont, with buffet dinner, latkes and donuts and performance by CHS Students.  $15 Adults, $12 Child.  More information at 303-678-7595 or jewishlongmont.com.

December 17th, 4:30 pm – Lafayette Menorah Lighting – At Festival Plaza in Old Town Lafayette, 400 W South Boulder Road, Lafayette. Chanukah music by Michael Miller plus sufganyot and hot chocolate.  Hosted by Boulder County Center for Judaism and sponsored by Oreg Foundation, Lafayette Music and JEWISHcolorado.

December 20, 4:15 – 5 pm – Jeff and Paige Chanukah Concert – Boulder JCC, Please join us for an interactive musical celebration of Hanukkah with Jeff and Paige! With elaborate costumes and song, Jeff and Paige use storytelling to explore Hanukkah and celebrate its many traditions. This a family-friendly event and all ages are welcome! $10 per child, $5 for Adult, Children under 2 are free. More information and register here.
