Boulder JFS Seeks Friendly Visitor Volunteers

Boulder JFS Seeks Friendly Visitor Volunteers

Are you looking for a meaningful way to spend an hour a week? Boulder Jewish Family Service (JFS) is seeking Friendly Visitors for older adults in the Boulder area. As a Friendly Visitor, you give the best gift you can give another: friendship.

We individually match you with an older adult to provide companionship each week. We ask for a minimum commitment of six months. Friendly Visitors and the seniors they visit often go out to lunch, go to shows or museums, go to medical and dental appointments, take walks, go grocery shopping, or whatever the older adult enjoys most and needs help with. Many times they get to know each other’s families and become great friends.

Barbara (pictured above with Ruth), can’t say enough about her experience as a Friendly Visitor. “My experience has been rewarding,” she says enthusiastically.  “Thank you, JFS, for the opportunity!”
