Beth Ami invites you to celebrate Passover on April 9th at 4:00 pm at the Boulder JCC in Levin Hall. Beth Ami is a member of the Society for Humanistic Judaism, the congregational arm of the Humanistic Jewish movement in North America.
We will use our new Humanistic Jewish Haggadah, emphasizing the meaning behind the Passover story and its relevance today. As humanists who identify with Jewish history and culture, we want to participate in a Jewish community and celebrate Jewish holidays together without reference to God and the supernatural.
“Humanistic Jews view the biblical Exodus story as one of the most powerful myths of the Jewish people, a tale that relates the courage and determination of a people fleeing slavery for freedom.”
At our Seder we will tell the story emphasizing the power of human beings to take charge of their lives.
We welcome everyone who wants to be a part of this festive holiday to join us. Guest adults are $20, guest youth (13-18) are $10. Children under 13 are free.
Please RSVP by emailing BethAmiRSVP@gmail.com. You will be asked to bring a dish to share. For more info visit www.bethami.com
