Weekly Edition: August 19th, 2016

Shabbat Shalom! Please consider making a gift to the Jewish Federation of Baton Rouge through JEWISHcolorado to help the community there recover from the devastating floods in Louisiana this week.  Others were there for us when we needed help in 2013, now it’s our turn to step up.

Welcome to Boulder, CU Class of 2020! They are leading the Buffalo Stampede back to town, so be on the lookout.  We hear there are exciting things happening at Hillel at CU as well; stay tuned and we’ll keep you up to date.

And of course, congrats to Israel’s Olympic Judo team, which has won both of the country’s medals (both bronze) so far at the Rio Games.

Have a great weekend, stay cool and enjoy this week’s stories in the BJN:

About Editor

I'm David Fellows, and I've served as a writer, photographer and/or an editor on my junior high and high school newspapers; the Daily Trojan at USC (where I earned my journalism degree); the student newspaper at the Anderson School at UCLA (where I earned my MBA); and I've written and edited countless business documents and presentations in the ensuing twenty years. I was also a professional photographer from 1978 to 1988 (although you never really stop...). I've been involved Jewishly since my bris and in Boulder since 1995. I'm married to my Executive Director Cheryl, and we have two children, Lauren and Ethan.
