Want a Greener Sukkot? Consider Carbon Footprint of Your Lulav and Etrog

Rabbi Jordie Gerson, the new full-time rabbi on the Adventure Rabbi team and an opinion writer for The Forward, wrote a provocative article in The Forward asking those of us who live in regions where palm and etrogim do not grow, to consider more eco -friendly alternatives.

Creating local lulavim and etrogim has been the practice of the Adventure Rabbi Community for many years. The students in our religious school come up with creative and beautiful alternatives.
