Visiting Rabbi Yoel Glick Offers Jewish Meditation Workshop

glick-photo-seatedHaver: Boulder’s Rabbinic Council is bringing Rabbi Yoel Glick to Boulder. He will be offering a free workshop on Jewish meditation entitled: “Entering the Stillness and the Silence,” Monday evening, November 28.   The workshop will introduce attendees to a form of meditation that uses spiritually potent words and images from the Jewish mystical traditions as a means of tapping into the Universal Mind of God.

Rabbi Yoel is one of the pioneers of modern Jewish meditation, and a spiritual mentor who has been guiding seekers on the path for over thirty years. He was an intimate student of the Chasidic mystic Rabbi Shlomo Carlebach and received rabbinic ordination from him in 1981. In 1988, Rabbi Yoel retreated to a tiny village in the Pyrenees Mountains, where he spent the next 20 years delving into the mystical traditions of Hinduism, Buddhism, and Christianity in France, Israel and India. He now teaches worldwide and is the director of Daat Elyon, an online center for spiritual wisdom and training. He is the author of “Walking the Path of the Jewish Mystic: How to Expand your Awareness & Transform your Life,” “Living the Life of Jewish Meditation: A Comprehensive Guide to Practice & Experience” and “Seeking the Divine Presence: The Three Pillars of a Jewish Spiritual Life.”

Rabbi Yoel’s experiential teaching will be held at Nevei Kodesh, 1925 Glenwood Dr. in Boulder, on Monday evening, November 28 from 7:00 – 9:00 pm. All are welcome!
