Satisfy your thirst for knowledge at Bonai Shalom this April!

Passover Retold – April 5th, 7:00 pm-9:00 pm, Bonai Shalom

What was the name of the Egyptian who found Moses? Where is there evidence that Israelites had dogs? How was a Satan like figure part of the Exodus story?
Learn all this and more in a special Passover class in which we read from the Book of Jubilees (more than 2000 years old) in which a special Angel tells Moses the story of his life and what happened in Egypt. Taught by Dr. Naomi SS Jacobs. Suggested donation $10-$15.

Fun With Seals – April 12th, 7:00 pm-9:00 pm, Bonai Shalom

Recently, archaeologists found a 2,500 year old seal belonging to an important Israelite woman. In this class we will discuss this finding, look into seals in general and learn how to read the ancient Hebrew alphabet in which they are written. We will also consider what we know and don’t know about the history of Israelite women. Taught by Dr. Naomi SS Jacobs. Suggested donation $10-$15.
