Summer Magic, Camp for Children with Special Needs, Registering Now

Summer Magic, a Jewish Disabilities Advocates program that provides day-trips for campers with special needs and volunteer teen buddies, seeks participants for its two upcoming sessions. Children and young adults (ages eight to 20) with disabilities are invited to spend the day at Shwayder Camp near Idaho Springs on Wednesday, June 22, or at JCC Ranch Camp in Elbert on Friday, July 22.

Summer Magic provides activities such as horseback rides, arts and crafts projects, sing-alongs, and basketball. The fee is $20 per day, which includes lunch and transportation.

Fun, responsible teens and young-at-heart adults who are looking for an important volunteer opportunity can join Summer Magic as buddies on one or both days. No experience is necessary – training will be provided.
