Kaplan is considered by many as one of the most important influences over the organization and practice of post-World War II Reform, Reconstructionist and Conservative Judaism.
More than presenting his revolutionary ideas, Rabbi Marc’s and Robert’s hope is that the conversation will inspire and touch your heart. Together we will hear and discuss Rabbi Kaplan’s amazing story from the Orthodox pulpit to selling insurance; from the most revered professor of Homiletics at the Jewish Theological Seminary to excommunication by an Orthodox rabbinate in New York City. Throughout his long life, his warmth and love for K’lal Yisrael and commitment to Tikkun Olam was felt by all that came within his circle of fellowship.
