Last Chance for Klezmania

Boulder Klezmer Consort

Response to Klezmania has been so strong, ACE may need to cut off ticket sales before the Dec. 20th deadline to register.

Klezmania is an appropriation of Denver’s KlezFest, an annual Christmas Eve klezmer concert. ACE went one better, though, by adding the requisite Chinese food – with vegan, gluten-free, msg-free, nut-free and kosher available, of course.

Another ACE addition is music and movement programs for children 4-12. Mark Megibow, of FACE fame, will lead a beat box workshop for 8-12 and up from 7:15-8 pm. Registration required.

Singers Faye Nepon and Eve Ilsen, flautist Judy Megibow, and (her son) beat box artist Mark Megibow are scheduled to perform with Sheldon Sands and his klezmer consort. The Moishe House Band will also sit in on a few songs. The concert will feature straight-on klezmer, as well as some tweaks on the genre, and a few contemporary Jewish classics.

A celebration of local talent, Klezmania is also a community holiday party expressing our joy in this season of light.

Dinner is available from 6-7:15 pm. Concert begins at 7 after Menorah lighting. There will be preshow entertainment on the screen in Levin Hall, where the concert takes place, from 6:30-7 pm.

What are YOU doing on Christmas Eve? COMING TO KLEZMANIA!
