Broadway comes to Boulder at Congregation Nevei Kodesh, Boulder’s vibrant Jewish Renewal community, at our annual FUN-draiser, Sunday, May 15.
In his acceptance speech for one of his record-breaking 12 TONY Awards for The Producers, Mel Brooks thanked an “avalanche of Jews” for the gift of American Broadway musicals. The Jewish legacy of musical theater – including such luminaries as Irving Berlin, the Gershwin brothers, Jerome Robbins, Leonard Bernstein, Stephen Sondheim, Rogers and Hart, Stephen Schwartz and many more – lives on today as a uniquely American arts form…AND at Nevei Kodesh!
This year’s all-new program, features over two dozen singers (including singers Faye Nepon, Eve Ilsen, Michelle Wolf, Amy Beth Fischoff, Jan Kirschner, Rev. Jason Hays, Rachel Shannon, Ilyssa Abbott, Kathleen Sands, Glenn Spitz and others) will pay tribute to a very wide variety of Broadway numbers, written or produced by Jewish artists. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll kvell! The evening will also include food, silent and live auction, and end with Broadway Karaoke.
Formal Attire for Broadway Premiere encouraged, but not required.
Our Online Pre-Bid Silent Auction continues through Tuesday, May 10, 10 a.m., and includes “buy now’ items as well as an opportunity to participate in the auction, whether you attend or not. Click here to participate in auction.
