Organizing a group (a rabble?) of busy rabbis has often been compared to herding cats. We are very grateful to Rachel Amaru for her years of service to Boulder’s rabbis and wish her great success and fulfillment as she transitions into a new path. We are thrilled to announce that Haver’s new director is Bonnie Houghton who has already started full throttle in the position.
Bonnie Houghton comes to Haver from 25 years with the US Forest Service and a passion for interfaith and integrated spiritual experiences. While successfully working with diverse constituencies and communication styles, she has experience as an effective leader and dedicated team member in areas of creative problem solving, cooperation and project management. As a newly minted Aleph Rabbinic student, Bonnie remains committed to ecology and sustainability, is comfortable and motivated to engage wider support for interfaith and integrated spiritual practices, and brings enthusiasm and dedication to the Jewish organizational ideals of partnership and collaboration in the Boulder community.
We hope you will join us in welcoming Bonnie to Boulder’s vibrant Jewish community.
