Early Community Purim Carnival Plus Celebrations for All

Spring is in the air, the costume boxes are coming out of the attic, and the smell of hamantaschen is inching closer every day. We Boulder Jews never pass up a chance to get dressed up, so don’t fret, the Boulder community has lots of Purim fun to be had.

This year, the Boulder Community Purim Carnival is better and more inclusive than ever! Since Purim falls during Spring Break this year, we are having our carnival a bit early. Join us on Sunday, March 13th for our annual Community Purim Carnival! This year, we are excited to offer a “Sensory-friendly” hour from 9:30 – 10:30, where the activities and environment will be designed for families with children who have sensory challenges. At 10:30, the fair will open to the general public and we will have all of your favorite games and activities, including a bouncy castle, carnival games, fun prizes, hamantaschen, pizza, and falafel to eat! Want to avoid the carnival line while saving money? Did you know you can pre-purchase your tickets! A special thank you to all of the sponsors who help to make this event possible, including Adventure Rabbi, Beth Ami,  Bonai Shalom, Nevei Kodesh, Orot Yisroel, JCC Ranch Camp, Ramah of the Rockies, Shwayder Camp, BBYO, Moishe House, Camp Inc. Business Academy, and the Boulder JCC.

We are still seeking some volunteers for the day of the event. What better way to give back to the community than by creating a fun, memorable experience at our Purim Carnival. Please fill out this form, or contact Michael Rosenzweig at Michael@boulderjcc.org to volunteer.

Are you looking for some more “adult” fun this Purim? No need to worry, the JCC has you covered. Join Flatiron Tribe for our Purim Pajama Jammy Jam Party at Upslope Brewing on Wednesday, March 23rd from 7:00 pm – 10:00 pm. We’ll have food, drinks, hamantaschen, and lots of Purim fun to go around. Purchase your tickets here and be sure to tell us you’re coming on Facebook.
