On June 12th, a terrorist attack occurred inside Pulse, a popular gay nightclub in Orlando, Florida, resulting in 49 deaths and 53 injuries. JEWISHcolorado and the Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC) express our shock and condemnation of this horrific mass murder, which marks the deadliest shooting in the history of this country.
JEWISHcolorado, B’nai Havurah, JCC Denver, the JCRC, Judaism Your Way and the Rocky Mountain Rabbinical Council will be hosting a Community Solidarity Gathering on Friday, June 17 at 5:30 pm at the Robert E. Loup JCC to grieve and honor the memories of the lives lost. This gathering will precede Pride Kabbalat Shabbat and pot-luck dinner. All are welcome to stay for these events and to join us for the PrideFest Parade on Sunday to show support for the Colorado Jewish LGBTQIA community. For more information, go to JCCDenver.org.
