Community…Family…Fathers – The 2016 Boulder Jewish Festival

Community…Closeness…Family…Fathers….. Just some of the themes we are highlighting at this year’s Boulder Jewish Festival.

This year’s Festival, June 19th from 11:00 am -4:00 pm, is working to make the most die-hard Father’s Day brunch enthusiast want to leave their pancakes behind!

This year’s Festival includes something for all interests and ages:

Foodies: Falafel, corned beef, kosher hot dogs and knishes, lots of hummus and even gluten-free foods
Art Lovers: Artists from throughout Colorado, with booths that start in front of Peppercorn on the 1200 block and go through to the Boulder Arts & Crafts Co-op on the 1400 block.
Sport and Fitness Enthusiasts: Krav Maga and Israeli Dancing
Intellectuals: Look for our Jewish Heroes scavenger hunt and the “Did you know….?” Series or have debates in the Rabbi’s Living Room
Community Builders: More than 30 community organizations on the Mall and Courthouse Lawn
Kids: Slacklining, gaga, scavenger hunts, crafts for the kiddos and more!

In keeping with family and community, our music stage highlights local acts that we all know and love.

11:00-11:30 Boulder Israeli Dance – A liberating and invigorating dance experience – Join us on the west lawn after our performance
11:35-11:55 Rising Tribe – Boulder Jewish Youth – a talented eclectic group of young Jewish voices

This year’s Boulder Jewish Festival takes place on Sunday, June 19, 11 am to 4 pm. Artists are on 3 blocks of the Pearl Street Mall – from mid-1200 (the rocks or Peppercorn) to mid-1400 (the animals – or Starbucks). Great food and the main entertainment tent are on the 1300 block, and nonprofit community organizations and kids activities fill the Courthouse Lawn. Free parking in city lots – or ride your bike!
