A Magical Farm-to-Table Shabbat Lunch and Program

BethAmi_JCCFilmFest2014

Beth Ami, Colorado Congregation for Humanistic Judaism, invites the community to our culminating event for our Hazon grant. We are celebrating Jewish culture and environmental awareness.

This Saturday, February 27th, 12:00 pm-2:00 pm at Meadows Library, 4800 Baseline Road, Boulder 80303, there will be a community-prepared lunch, a Humanistic Shabbat service, and an educational magic performance by Erica Sodos about the importance of nature.

Our service will be presented by Madrikha Sheila Malcolm and Music Director Marti Hirsch. Humanistic Judaism embraces a human-centered philosophy that celebrates Jewish culture without supernatural underpinnings. We believe in the human capacity to create a better world.

Erica Sodos will perform an overwhelmingly fun and enchanting magic show while educating about the importance of nature. Incorporating amazing magic, mind reading, storytelling and abundant audience participation, Erica’s performance not only entertains, it educates and inspires.

Please RSVP to marti.hirsch@mail.com for seating and to choose a recipe to prepare and bring.

Suggested donation of $10 per family payable at the door. Collection box for food donation to Emergency Family Assistance Association.
