Week in Review: November 20th, 2015

Shabbat shalom!  Our thoughts and prayers go out to the victims and their families of last week’s Paris attacks and this week’s horrific murders in Israel.

On more positive notes, congratulations to Francine Lavin Weaver on her Philanthropist Award and Ron Werner for begin named this year’s Lamplighter by Boulder County Center for Judaism. And kudos to JEWISHcolorado on a very successful Men’s Event Wednesday night.  Bret Stephens from the Wall St. Journal gave a very thought-provoking keynote centered around explaining Paris, Jerusalem and a small village and what they have in common.

Have a great weekend, have a happy Thanksgiving, and enjoy this week’s stories in the BJN.

About Editor

I'm David Fellows, and I've served as a writer, photographer and/or an editor on my junior high and high school newspapers; the Daily Trojan at USC (where I earned my journalism degree); the student newspaper at the Anderson School at UCLA (where I earned my MBA); and I've written and edited countless business documents and presentations in the ensuing twenty years. I was also a professional photographer from 1978 to 1988 (although you never really stop...). I've been involved Jewishly since my bris and in Boulder since 1995. I'm married to my Executive Director Cheryl, and we have two children, Lauren and Ethan.
