Shabbat shalom! We’re finally here — this weekend, the Boulder Jewish Film Festival launches. There are tickets left for several of the movies, and a few popular titles have had extra screenings added. Latest information is here; the original post with the full schedule is here.
In a proud town-and-gown kind of day, last Sunday the Rohr Chabad House at CU opened up their $3 million Schaeffer Family Student Center at 909 14th St., a few blocks from the main CU campus. Congratulations to Rabbi and Leah Wilhelm on this tremendous milestone for them and for Boulder!
In other CU-related news, Dr. David Shneer announced this week that he will be stepping down as Director of the Jewish Studies Program at the end of this academic year in June. However, after taking a sabbatical, Dr. Shneer will return to CU as the Chair of the Department of Religious Studies and so we will continue to have the benefit of his presence at the University and in our community. Mazel tov to Dr. Shneer!
Also, for all you STEM geeks out there, don’t forget that Saturday is Pi Day of the Century: 3/14/15 9:26:53 am.
Have a great weekend, and enjoy this week’s stories in the BJN.
