Rabbi Fred Greene Named Senior Rabbi at Har HaShem

Rabbi Fred Greene, new Har HaShem Senior Rabbi

The Board of Trustees of Congregation Har HaShem is delighted to announce that the Congregation has voted to hire Rabbi Fred Greene of Roswell, Georgia to become our next Senior Rabbi. Rabbi Greene, his wife Deborah, and their three daughters will join us on July 1, 2015.

Fifty years ago, a small group of our Founders had a vision for Jewish life in Boulder. We are the inheritors of that vision, and we look forward to continuing and enhancing that vision as we embark on our next chapter with a new Senior Rabbi. This is a wonderful moment in our Congregation’s history. We are indeed blessed to have each other, and to have the opportunity that this new relationship with Rabbi Greene will afford. May God give us the strength and wisdom to be the best we can be as we work through this transition.

We will be planning a number of opportunities to welcome Rabbi Greene and his family later this year. Please watch for details and join us.

About Staff

They call me "NewsHound IV," because I'm a clever Finnegan, sniffing out stories all over the Boulder area. I love Jewish holidays because the food is GREAT, especially the brisket. Well all the food. I was a rescue pup and glad to be on the scent!

  3. As a member of Rabbi Greene's present congregation in Georgia, I must let you know you are getting one of the most intelligent, charming, friendly and personable clergy persons there are. You will love him from the get-go! Best of luck to you all.
