People in costumes, the smell of baked goods in the air. No, it’s not just a normal day in Boulder, Purim is fast approaching! As proud Boulderites, we never pass up an opportunity to get dressed in costume, so don’t miss out on the Purim festivities this year!
Looking for some family fun? The Boulder Community Purim Carnival is right up your alley. On March 1, from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm at the Boulder JCC, this family-friendly community celebration brings together the entire Boulder Jewish community. With carnival games, bouncy castles, falafel, hamantaschen, and loads of prizes, this is sure to be a joyous and entertaining day for all! Avoid lines at the Purim Carnival and pre-purchase your tickets now! A special thank you to all of the organizations who came together to make the Purim Carnival possible, including Beth Ami, Bonai Shalom, Nevei Kodesh, Ramah of the Rockies, Shwayder Camp, JCC Ranch Camp, Camp Inc., and the Boulder JCC.
Part of the Purim tradition is charity and giving back to the community. What better way to fulfill this mitzvah than volunteering at the Purim Carnival! You can ensure that everyone has a fantastic Purim experience, all while having loads of fun yourself! If you are interested in helping at the Purim Carnival, please sign up to volunteer or contact Michael Rosenzweig at Michael@boulderjcc.org
Perhaps you are looking for some more “adult fun” this Purim? No need to fret, the Boulder Jewish community is also coming together to bring you a Boulder Purim Masquerade on Wednesday, March 4, 7:00 pm – 11:00 pm at Shine (2027 13th St. Boulder, CO 80302). You’ll have the opportunity to hear the Megillah being read by Rabbi Marc Soloway and Rabbi Sarah Bracha Gershuny, and there are sure to be Purim shenanigans to follow. If you are looking for even more Purim fun, check out other Purim events on the JCC website.
