Judaism Your Way Launching New Rosh Hodesh Groups for Teen Girls

Rosh Hodesh is an ancient Jewish holiday marking the new moon, and a time when Jewish women and girls traditionally gather to celebrate. It’s also a girls-only group that meets monthly to hang out, discuss life, do activities, and learn about Judaism – a place to feel comfortable, Jewish, and good about being a girl!

This fall, Judaism Your Way is launching new Rosh Hodesh: it’s a girl thing! groups in Denver and Boulder for girls currently in 7th or 8th grade (going into 8th or 9th grade). Rosh Hodesh uses Judaism to enrich the lives of girls, building self-esteem, Jewish identity, leadership skills, and friendships. The groups provide a fun and supportive environment where girls can explore issues that matter to them, such as body image, friendships, relationships, family, school, and stress.

The program is open to anyone who identifies as a girl and is in 7th or 8th grade (going into 8th or 9th grade). You do not need to be connected to Judaism Your Way to participate.

Girls who are interested in participating and their parents are encouraged to attend “A Taste of Rosh Hodesh,” a free meeting to learn more, get to know the group leader and other participants, and see if the program is right for them!

Boulder: Sunday, May 17th, 6:30 – 8:30 pm, Boulder JCC, 3800 Kalmia Ave., Boulder, 80301

Denver: Sunday, May 31st, 3:00 – 5:00 pm, University of Denver Hillel, 2390 S. Race St., Denver, 80210
