Over 60 Jews and Startup Gurus met for Brews Monday night at T|ACO restaurant on the first day of Boulder Startup Week (#BSW).  Boulder Startup Week is a five-day, entrepreneur-led, community-focused startup event that takes place all over Boulder every spring. From lectures to hackathons BSW incorporates all types of startup life. The goal of the event is to showcase and celebrate the amazing community we have in Boulder. This year, BSW is underway this week (May 11-15) and there are over 120 separate events scheduled.

Jews, Brews and Startup Gurus is sponsored by the Boulder JCC, Boulder Jewish News, and the Boulder Jewish Community Career Network.  This is the fifth year that JB+SGs has been part of the BSW lineup, and it is always one of the most well-attended social events of the week.

Besides socializing, we try to provide a little educational content, and the following fun entrepreneurial facts were posted around T|ACO as conversation starters:

• Israel is home to over 4,800 startups, second only to Silicon Valley
• Israel has more companies on the tech-oriented NASDAQ than any other country other than the USA
• Boulder has the highest “high-tech startup density” of any metro area in the USA
