Chabad of Longmont Dedicates New Torah

Chabad Longmont hosted a joyous Torah dedication at Thompson Park, Longmont, Sunday June 14. Ken and Janine Rubin and family donated a Torah in honor of Manny and Joyce Rubin. Many people were able to participate in the honor of amending or adding a letter to the Torah to complete the Torah. Rabbi Moshe Fayzakov was the sofer (scribe) who wrote the letters.

About 150 people attended including Rabbi Yisroel Engel and Rabbi Yossi Serebryanski from Denver and Rabbi Dovid Mintz from Vail.  Rabbi Yacov Borenstein, of Chabad Longmont organized and officiated. His father Rabbi Moshe Borenstein and father in law Shmuel Light also attended.

Many people helped escort the Torah around Thompson Park with dancing and singing, and of course there was plenty of bagels and lox to be noshed!
