Camp Inc., the premier Jewish overnight summer camp for aspiring teen entrepreneurs, announced their preliminary lineup of presenters and local business tours as part of their summer 2015 camp sessions. Camp Inc. offers three summer sessions based on age, and will run June 18 to August 12, 2015.
“Camp Inc. allows its campers to participate in all facets of the business world far beyond the common field trip,” said Backcountry Delicatessen founder David Pepin, a Jewish businessman who owns the franchise. “These campers want to truly understand what makes up the world of business and what it takes to make it happen. Inspiring!!”
Camp Inc. is also hosting three teen entrepreneurs who are part of Independent Youth, a non-profit designed to empower teens through mentorship, annual events and competitions, plus regular workshops on business and entrepreneurship.
Plus, as an added bonus in the third session, Independent Youth’s Executive Director Tanya Hamilton will attend to talk about their programs and even join Camp Inc.’s Shark Tank panel for pitch day.
“The teen entrepreneurs from Independent Youth are excited to be participating in this year’s Camp Inc. program as speakers. Giving back to the youth entrepreneurial ecosystem is something all of these teens are passionate about. Through their interactions with the campers, the IY teen entrepreneurs hope to show the realities of being a young entrepreneur through their own personal experiences,” said Ms. Hamilton. On being a speaker herself, “I hope the campers come away a better understanding of entrepreneurship as well as a clear understanding of next steps they can take to start a new venture as a teenager.”
