Yom HaShoah Program to Feature Colorado Hebrew Chorale

CandlesPlease join Haver, local Holocaust survivors, and community B’nai Mitzvah students on Sunday, April 27th, from 7 to 8:30 pm, for a program of musical remembrance for Yom HaShoah. The program will take place at Congregation Har HaShem (3950 Baseline Road), and will feature The Colorado Hebrew Chorale.

This year, B’nai Mitzvah students from Congregations Bonai Shalom, Har HaShem, and Nevei Kodesh interviewed survivors in the Boulder community. The students will be introducing those survivors at the Yom HaShoah Program. The Colorado Hebrew Chorale will be singing evocative songs in Yiddish and Hebrew, and Estelle Nadel, a soloist in the Chorale and a hidden child in Poland during the Holocaust, will be sharing her story of survival.

We strongly encourage families with B’nai Mitzvah students to attend. With fewer and fewer survivors, it grows more important every year that the younger generations become the gatekeepers of memory.
