Week in Review: April 4th, 2014

bjn-logo8-200x200-blue Shabbat shalom.  After several weeks with numerous babies born in the community, this was a sad week with two unexpected passings. Shiva information is included in the respective obituaries (links are included below). May HaShem grant peace to all who mourn.

We also had a severe thunderstorm alert and a dose of heavy rain and wet snow, bringing back memories for many of September’s rains. If you need assistance, there are still city services as well as counseling opportunities available. As we go into the spring, let’s all hope for the best.

Passover is now less than two weeks away.  Check out the BJN Passover section, and we’ll continue to call out the Passover-related stories in their own section in the weekly round-ups for the next few weeks.

About Editor

I'm David Fellows, and I've served as a writer, photographer and/or an editor on my junior high and high school newspapers; the Daily Trojan at USC (where I earned my journalism degree); the student newspaper at the Anderson School at UCLA (where I earned my MBA); and I've written and edited countless business documents and presentations in the ensuing twenty years. I was also a professional photographer from 1978 to 1988 (although you never really stop...). I've been involved Jewishly since my bris and in Boulder since 1995. I'm married to my Executive Director Cheryl, and we have two children, Lauren and Ethan.
