Want to spend more time in contemplation of the Torah but don’t have the time or inclination to go somewhere for a regular class?
Chany Scheiner of Boulder Center for Judaism is encouraging the community to participate in this project that her sister Simie Schtroks, of Chabad of Surrey, British Columbia, has created: Inspiration in Ten, a weekly 10-minute toll-free phone call filled with inspiration and stories from the Torah.

The project is in memory of their father HaRav Gershon Ben HaRav Bentzion Chanowitz, z”l, whose devotion to Torah made a deep and lasting impression on all of his children.
The live event will take place each Thursday evening at 9:15pm MST. In order to participate, simply dial 605-562-3107 before 9:15 on any Thursday evening. When prompted for an access code, enter 676822#. Once you are on the call, please press *6 to mute your phone so that you can hear the call, but no background noise from wherever you are reaches the other listeners.
The first Inspiration in Ten was on Thursday, October 23rd. The weekly recordings can be accessed here for download and listening in case you miss the Thursday night call.
And if you think you can’t remember this, even after you put it in your calendar, you can text 604.440.7411 with a request for an automatic weekly reminder text.

Now you don’t have to leave the comfort of your recliner to add ten minutes of Torah to your busy week. And if you’re stuck in traffic, what could be more useful to reducing road rage and relieving stress than listening to 10 minutes of Torah on your hands-free phone? And, if you need to, you can prepare some great Dvar Torah on the weekly Parsha by listening to this Ten Minute Inspiration!
Ms. Scheiner and Ms. Schtroks encourage people to share this information with as many people as you can, thus spreading both the inspiration of the Torah and their love for their father across as many time zones and to as many listeners as possible.
Beautiful idea, and a great z'chus for Uncle Gershon's sublime neshomo. Behatzlacha! Chesky Klang
