Avner Goren and Rana Khalaf, renowned archeologist/ cultural lead on the Kidron Valley/Wadi El Nar project, and pioneering educator in Israel/principal of Afaq School for Learning Disabled, respectively, shared their visions of the many ways in which peace and human dignity can be achieved, people to people, to underpin a lasting solution in the Middle East.
A diverse and enthusiastic audience of over 70 people from across a broad cross-section of the Boulder community participated last Wednesday’s program at the JCC and lively Q&A following. The program capped a full week of activities from Ecocycle, to discussions with environmentalists and leaders of the Abraham Path Initiative to presentations to Boulder Rotary. This week Avner and Rana are in D.C. meeting with Colorado political leaders and potential project sponsors.
