Paths to Peace: The Kidron Visit, A Photo Wrapup

P2Avner Goren and Rana Khalaf, renowned archeologist/ cultural lead on the Kidron Valley/Wadi El Nar project, and pioneering educator in Israel/principal of Afaq School for Learning Disabled, respectively, shared their visions of the many ways in which peace and human dignity can be achieved, people to people, to underpin a lasting solution in the Middle East.

A diverse and enthusiastic audience of over 70 people from across a broad cross-section of the Boulder community participated last Wednesday’s program at the JCC and lively Q&A following. The program capped a full week of activities from Ecocycle, to discussions with environmentalists and leaders of the Abraham Path Initiative to presentations to Boulder Rotary.  This week Avner and Rana are in D.C. meeting with Colorado political leaders and potential project sponsors.

About Sid Fox

Sid Fox renewed his interest and study from his Hebrew School days (where he was inspired by Deborah Pessin's insightful series 'The Story of the Jewish People') when he read James Michener's "The Source". Sid eventually taught a two semester Sunday class for adults at their home when their children were at Sunday School. It was based on 15 years study of the Bible, the three hundred years of modern research and Biblical Archaeology areas he continued to pursue as he branched out to Shakespeare, the Classics and other interests.
