Jewish National Fund: New Mountain States Campaign Exec

mattJewish National Fund (JNF) is pleased to introduce Matthew Leebove as the new Senior Campaign Executive for the Mountain States Region. He will be working with the Mountain State communities, connecting with individuals, organizations, and community leaders who share Jewish National Fund’s passion and goals.

“Matthew’s love and passion for Israel got us excited about hiring him,” said Mountain States Director Boaz Meir. “The funds we raise are improving the lives of everybody in Israel and his enthusiasm will be instrumental in fulfilling the JNF mission and developing additional resources to accomplish our goals.”

Leebove has an extensive professional background in fundraising and organizational advancement in the Jewish community. In his previous position, he served as Acting Regional Director at American Jewish Committee (AJC) Colorado.  Prior to entering the Jewish nonprofit world Leebove focused his time on legislative and political campaigns. He helped launch the Water Infrastructure Network of Colorado, a coalition of Coloradans seeking increased private sector investment and more local, state, and federal funding for the multi-billion dollar backlog of largely unfunded drinking water, wastewater and stormwater infrastructure projects throughout Colorado.

Leebove also served as a Special Assistant to Senator Joyce Foster and held several national staff positions with the International Brotherhood of Teamsters. A graduate of University of Tampa John Sykes College of Business, Leebove moved back to Colorado five years ago and has committed himself to furthering the Jewish community ever since.

“What excites me most about working for Jewish National Fund is having the opportunity to be a part of an organization whose roots include the great Zionist pioneers like Schapira and Herzl,” said Leebove. “To be able to do my part to raise the funds necessary to insure the prosperity and well-being of a Jewish Israel is my ultimate goal.”

The Board of Directors, under the leadership of its President Ron Werner, looks forward to working with Leebove to further develop the relationships within the Jewish community in the Mountain States. He will meet donors and guests at the Jewish National Fund Annual Breakfast on Tuesday May 13, 2014 at the Hebrew Educational Alliance in Denver.
