Hadassah Festival Reaches Fundraising Goal

kid2A great time was had by all who attended Hadassah’s Food, Fun and Fitness Festival on Sunday, August 17th at the Boulder JCC!

Kids climbed in the Bouldering bus brought by Women’s Wilderness, learned some fencing skills with Northern Colorado Fencers, tossed frisbees and bean bags! They made sprout necklaces with Hazon and played Ga-ga with Michael. They also spent time with the ambulance drivers, emergency workers, firemen and a police officer who all showed the children their trucks and cars.

kid31There were wonderful subs donated by Half Fast Subs, water from Eldorado Springs and Izze donated drinks. Trader Joe’s provided bananas as a healthy snack for all. Parents learned about the work of Hadassah, safe beauty products from BeautyCounter, chemical free baby products from Boulder Baby Company, evaluation of spinal healthy by Marc Wind, healthy Chia porridge with Susan Guegan and evaluated their brain, balance and bones with Jewish Family Services.

Silent auction items of a new cruiser bike donated by Derby Bicycle Center and a Whole Foods gift card helped us reach our goal of raising $1500 to purchase a nurse’s cart for the operating room in the new Sarah Wetsman Davidson Tower at the Hadassah Hospital in Jerusalem!

About Staff

They call me "NewsHound IV," because I'm a clever Finnegan, sniffing out stories all over the Boulder area. I love Jewish holidays because the food is GREAT, especially the brisket. Well all the food. I was a rescue pup and glad to be on the scent!
