
On Thursday, August 14, at 7:00 pm, Congregation Nevei Kodesh will be hosting two luminaries in the Jewish Renewal world for one not-to-be-missed event, titled “Living with the Light of God: Prayer, Blessing and Gratitude.” This will be an opportunity to experience an evening of music, dynamic teaching, sharing and exploration. The evening promises to be a soul-expanding, heart-centered journey that will nourish the creative life of the spirit.

Rabbi Marcia Prager is Director and Dean of the Ordination Programs for ALEPH: Alliance for Jewish Renewal, and rabbi of the P’nai Or Congregation in Philadelphia PA. Her acclaimed book, The Path of Blessing, is an exploration of the spiritual wisdom in the Jewish practice of blessing. She developed and co-directs the Davvenen Leadership Training Institute (training of worship leaders) and teaches for the European Academy for Jewish Liturgy (EAJL).
Hazzan Jack Kessler directs the ALEPH (Jewish Renewal) Cantorial Program, and teaches nusach and voice for the for the Davvenen Leadership Training Program and EAJL. He created and directs two touring ensembles: ATZILUT– CONCERTS FOR PEACE, featuring Arab and Jewish musicians, and KLINGON KLEZMER, which does Jewish music from other planets.
