Community-Wide Yom HaShoah Commemoration Sunday

CandlesOn Sunday, April 27, from 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm, please join local Holocaust survivors, community B’nai Mitzvah students and Haver for a Community-Wide Yom HaShoah Commemoration program of musical remembrance. We strongly encourage families with B’nai Mitzvah students to attend!

With fewer and fewer survivors, it grows more important every year that the younger generations become the gatekeepers of memory. Your children can help keep these important stories alive.

This year, B’nai Mitzvah students from Congregations Bonai Shalom, Har HaShem, and Nevei Kodesh interviewed survivors in the Boulder community. The students will be introducing those survivors at the Yom HaShoah Program.  The Colorado Hebrew Chorale will be singing evocative songs in Yiddish and Hebrew. Estelle Nadel, a soloist in the Chorale and a hidden child in Poland during the Holocaust, will be sharing her story of survival. The program will take place at Congregation Har HaShem (3950 Baseline Road).
