On Tuesday, May 16, 2023, nearly 600 Coloradans came together at the Wings Over the Rockies Air and Space Museum for Jewish National Fund-USA’s annual Breakfast for Israel. The community Breakfast celebrated Israel’s 75th anniversary while highlighting several of the organization’s initiatives that are improving the quality of life in Israel’s north and south and educating Zionist leaders of tomorrow.
The 1100-year-old Codex Sassoon, the oldest and most complete Hebrew Bible, was sold on May 17th at Sotheby’s for $38.1 million. The sacred text, considered the foundation of Jewish ethics and beliefs, will become part of the core exhibition and permanent collection of ANU - Museum of the Jewish People in Tel Aviv, Israel.
