Ron Werner, new President of the Mountain States Board of Directors, Jewish National Fund.

Jewish National Fund (JNF) is proud to announce that Ron Werner has been appointed President of the Mountain States Board of Directors, effective immediately.

Werner takes over the current President’s role from Gene Kay.

“Jewish National Fund recognizes Ron’s passion for philanthropy and deep commitment to the land and people of Israel,” said Boaz Meir, Regional Director of Mountain States. “The Mountain States Board of Directors looks forward to seeing all that Ron will accomplish during his term as President. His talent and dedication will be a valued asset to the continued growth of JNF in the Mountain States and beyond.”

Ron Werner is President and Co-founder of HW Home, Inc., a Colorado-based home furnishings retailer and design source. Originally from Chicago, he now calls both Denver and Palm Springs home.

JNF_Tagline_2013Prior to forming HW Home in 1998, Werner was a Sr. Vice President, Investments with Smith Barney. He serves on various boards and is Vice Chairman of Alexander Muss High School in Israel, secretary to The Mathew Shepard Foundation, President of The Riverfront Park Association, and President of The Brownstones of Riverfront Park. Werner also is a board member of The Riverfront Park Community foundation and the National Home Furnishings Association. He is a JNF Negev Society member.

I am excited to serve as JNF’s Mountain States region’s next President,” said Werner. “I am deeply committed to the welfare of the state of Israel, and I hope to draw on my experience at other organizations to help JNF Mountain States reach and exceed its fundraising and programming objectives.”
