First off, congratulations to the Boulder JCC — their new building is one step closer to realization today after the Boulder City Planning Board voted to recommend the project to the Boulder City Council.  We’ll let you know when the council is scheduled to do first and second reading.

This weekend, if you haven’t already signed up, the Jewish National Fund’s National Conference is here in Denver starting tonight.  If you have a chance, the conference runs through Monday morning at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in downtown Denver.

Finally, Congregation Bonai Shalom welcomes Rabbi Gershom Sizomu, the spiritual leader of the Abayudaya Community in Uganda, to Boulder for a Scholar-in-Residence experience.

Have a great weekend: stay warm and dry! Here are this week’s stories:

About Editor

I'm David Fellows, and I've served as a writer, photographer and/or an editor on my junior high and high school newspapers; the Daily Trojan at USC (where I earned my journalism degree); the student newspaper at the Anderson School at UCLA (where I earned my MBA); and I've written and edited countless business documents and presentations in the ensuing twenty years. I was also a professional photographer from 1978 to 1988 (although you never really stop...). I've been involved Jewishly since my bris and in Boulder since 1995. I'm married to my Executive Director Cheryl, and we have two children, Lauren and Ethan.
